Forest School

Our onsite Forest School provides our children with another part of their truly holistic education. It has been designed to encourage and nurture their appreciation of the natural world, whilst instilling a sense of personal responsibility for nature conservation throughout their lives.

Our Forest School sessions provide children with the opportunity to explore and experience the natural world through practical activities in the outdoors which helps promote confidence, independence and self-esteem.

Forest School works alongside the rest of our Curriculum to develop practical trans disciplinary life skills. Many children benefit from a practical element to their learning and achieve great levels of success in this context which can then be transferred into their classroom environment. All children from Nursery – Year 6 take part in Forest school sessions during curriculum time.

By using the outdoor environment, we hope to encourage and inspire our children to grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem through the mastery of key skills, early learning goals and group tasks.
