Stover School was delighted to host the ISA South West AGM and Art Competition on Thursday 10th October. The Independent Schools Association (ISA) holds a National Art Competition annually, inviting pupils from all ISA schools to participate. It is an excellent platform for schools to showcase their pupils’ artistic talents and for teachers to share innovative practice and ideas. There are dozens of categories which cover all age groups and multiple genres, including 2D and 3D art, textiles, drawing, fashion, and photography.

Fourteen schools from around the South West exhibited over 300 art works from Years 1 to 13. There was such an array of creativity and talent, and we were proud to receive sixteen awards for our young artists, across the full range of categories.

Congratulations to the following pupils for their awards:
Fred B, Harriet R, James P, Henry M, Myah R, Megan K, William R, Jacob B-S, Annie A, Ursula R, Charlotte K, Audrey L, Kate C-T.
All of Year 2 and Year 5 for their collaborative pieces.

Those artworks that were awarded First in their category then went on to be exhibited at the National Art Competition in November at Kenilworth, where a total of 266 incredible artworks were showcased.

Both the Prep School and Senior School did an excellent job of demonstrating their originality, imagination and creativity.  We were delighted to come first in the 3D category with Year 5 pupil, Harriet R’s stunning sculpture of a pepper. Well done, Harriet!

Congratulations to everyone who participated, and a big thank you to all the staff who supported the event.
