Long stay boarding at Stover is ideal for students seeking the full British boarding school experience throughout the academic year. Boarders join from Year 10 for GCSEs and from Year 12 for A Levels or BTEC courses, benefiting from outstanding academic support, dedicated study spaces, and a strong pastoral care system. Our boarding house is designed to feel like home, with comfortable dorms, communal areas, and a close-knit community where every pupil is valued.
Short Stay Boarding (4 Weeks to 1 Term)
Short stay boarding is perfect for pupils looking for a taste of boarding life, a focused period of study, or a cultural immersion experience. Available from four weeks up to one full term, this flexible option is open to students entering at Year 9. Short stay boarders are fully integrated into school life, participating in lessons, activities, trips and the vibrant boarding community.
Flexi Boarding for Current Day Pupils
Stover school also offers a flexible boarding option designed to support the diverse needs of our current day pupils. Flexi boarding allows students to stay in the boarding house for one or more nights a week, providing the opportunity to experience the benefits of boarding life without committing to a full-time stay. This option is ideal for families with busy schedules, pupils with extracurricular commitments, or those who simply wish to enjoy evening access to Stover’s excellent facilities, structured prep sessions, and academic support. Flexi boarders are fully integrated into the boarding community, taking part in activities and enjoying the same pastoral care as full boarders, while maintaining the flexibility to return home regularly.
