VACANCY Development & Growth Manager (Lead Marketing Role)
Set the vision for marketing at a growing independent school on the edge of Dartmoor.
Full time, permanent, £43,000 – £50,000.
Stover School is an independent, non-selective, co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18, set in 64 acres of historic parkland on the edge of Dartmoor in South Devon. As we approach our centenary in 2032, we are growing, with planning approval for a new sports hall and community facilities and an ambitious target for pupil numbers.
We are looking for an experienced marketer to lead our marketing as Development & Growth Manager. Reporting to the Bursar and leading the Admissions Manager and the Communication & Retention Lead, you will set the vision and strategy for how Stover is seen, heard and found, and then deliver it.
You will:
- Set and deliver the school’s marketing strategy, with responsibility for growing pupil numbers
- Lead digital, social and content activity, including paid campaigns with agency partners
- Drive enquiries and open day attendance, acting as the first point of contact for prospective families
- Build referral, community and sponsorship relationships
- Grow income from the estate through facility hire and events
- Lead the Communication, Engagement & Admissions team and manage external suppliers
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in marketing and a real understanding of the potential of digital and social channels. Experience in a school setting is desirable, but relevant experience from other sectors is equally welcome.

VACANCY Marketing Assistant

Do you love telling stories in words, pictures or design? Stover School is looking for a creative, organised Marketing Assistant to help share the life of our school with current and prospective families.
Working within our newly shaped Communication, Engagement & Admissions team, you will:
- write engaging copy for the website, newsletters and social media
- capture photography and video of lessons, activities and events
- create, schedule and publish social media content and support digital campaigns
- produce on-brand print and digital materials, from posters and programmes to prospectuses
The role can be filled by one person or shared between two people with complementary strengths in copy and content, digital marketing and design. If you have some but not all of the skills listed, please do get in touch.

The school now seeks a dedicated and personable Clay Shooting Coach to deliver both individual and group sessions, inspire young shooters, and continue the success of our competitive clay shooting team on Thursdays.

Basic, 21 hours per week, term time only (34 weeks) Additional hours may be available.

Must have a clean driving licence with Category D1.
The post-holder will be part of a team of minibus drivers who drive pupils to and from school.
