Early Years Foundation Stage

Our Early Years Foundation Stage welcomes children from the age of three. Located in the Clock House at the Preparatory School, children benefit from being part of the wider school community, making the transition to ‘big’ school easy and effortless.

In the EYFS, we implement a mixture of adult-led and child-initiated play, giving each child an opportunity to explore and experiment as they learn through play.
We start to show them the benefits of having a routine, of tidying up, of having quiet time as well as playtime, so they learn how to communicate, share and take turns.
Both Nursery and Reception Class have their own secure play area outside, as well as access to the beautiful grounds of the school, which provide great opportunities to go exploring in the fresh air in all weathers.

    Our aim is for all children to move up into
    the Preparatory School with a positive and confident attitude to school and a thirst for learning.

    The Nursery is in sessions from 8:30am until 4pm, Monday to Friday.

    Breakfast Club is available daily from 8:00am and after Nursery Club until 4.30pm (extra charge).
