Choirs
The Music Department continues to grow and maintain its high standards. The
Senior Girls and Man Choir combine for all concerts in school enabling more opportunity for skilled singers to push themselves. No audition is necessary.
Orchestra
Children who play an orchestral instrument are encouraged to join the School
Orchestra where they can meet pupils of all age ranges across the school and to enjoy a collaborative music making and the opportunity to perform at school concerts.
Stover Soul
Stover Soul is Stover’s school band for jazz instruments playing music from Memphis to McCartney, all abilities welcome. For more accomplished players there is also Fillet of Stover Soul.
Drama & Dance
Drama Club is the place where school productions are rehearsed. Twice a week during activities, the cast assemble to work through our script, with the Senior School production scheduled for the end of the autumn term. Alongside this, the Technical Crew are trained during Monday activities, where lighting and sound skills are honed in order to support the production.
LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) is an optional lesson which provides a great opportunity for pupils to develop their effective communication skills through music and drama. Pupils can work towards grades in Verse & Prose, Mime, Acting, Devised Drama, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre, Shakespeare and Reading for Performance.
