Stover School pupils have done it again! We are immensely proud of our GCSE pupils’ results, with over half of all papers achieving a grade 6 or above and over 80% of pupils achieving five or more subject passes, including English and Mathematics — well above the national pass rate. 28% of all papers were graded 7-9 and 90% of all papers were graded 4 and above.
As always, it is the individual stories behind the headline figures that are the real successes. As a non-selective school, it is amazing to see so many pupils reaching and exceeding their potential across a broad range of STEM, arts and photography, humanities and language subjects. In fact, as we measure it, the value-added scores are the real stars.
Headmistress Caroline Ward said:
“This year group has thrown itself at everything Stover has to offer, and these results are only part of what they have achieved. What I am most proud of is that no two of them got here the same way; each pupil was taught in the way that suited them best, and every one has gone further than they thought they could. It has been a real pleasure to share their journey so far, and we wish them all the very best for what comes next.”
